Recognize..

that you are a sinner. The Bible tells us: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)

Realize..

that without Christ you have no hope on your own because the Bible tells us: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) Also Jesus said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Repent..

It is more than just knowing that you are a sinner. You must be willing to turn from that sin and turn to Jesus and give your life completely to Him. Jesus said: "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me." (Luke 9:23)

Respond..

to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to forgive you and to cleanse you from your sin. Ask Him to take over your life completely. He paid for your sin by giving His life on the cross and rose from the dead so that you can have eternal life. He also wants to give you an abundant life. Respond to Him in faith. "If you confess with the mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9-10) "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
